Dolphins kept in captivity suffer for a lifetime

Dolphins are suffering in the name of entertainment. Stop TUI profiting from dolphin cruelty.

TUI Group is one of the largest travel companies in the world. They sell tickets to at least 25 venues and are profiting from the captivity of over 400 dolphins.
Captive dolphin holidays are exploitation.

Captive dolphins are:

  • SEPARATED from their mothers far too young
  • CONFINED in tanks 200,000 times smaller than their natural home
  • DEPRIVED of food so they can be trained

Your donation will help World Animal Protection to protect animals around the world from cruelty and suffering. We’re fighting cruelty wherever we find it – will you join us?

Thousands of dolphins are suffering right now in the name of entertainment, held captive in sea parks across the world, and each one has their own story of suffering. Like Makaiko, who was stolen from the wild in Japan and spent every day swimming around and around in the same concrete tank, performing for tourists for food.

These dolphins endure unnatural and stressful interactions with tourists and are trained, often using food deprivation methods, to perform demeaning tricks. Dolphins have even been known to self-mutilate from the stress of captivity.

Dolphin interaction

Exploiting dolphins for entertainment is distressing and traumatising for the animals involved. This is an industry built on suffering. It’s no way for a wild animal to live.

Your donation can help fund our campaign to stop TUI from supporting this exploitative practice by selling and profiting from captive dolphin holidays.

Please can you help support the campaign and make this the last generation of dolphins in captivity?
