Will you help hundreds of elephants and other animals to recover from Thailand’s catastrophic flooding disaster?

Typhoon Yagi has caused severe flash floods across Northern Thailand, uprooting trees and devastating communities. One of the worst-hit locations is the famous Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai: a high-welfare sanctuary which rescues elephants from the logging and tourist industries.

As the River Ping burst its banks, flood waters over 3 metres deep engulfed the park, forcing an emergency evacuation of 120 elephants. Rescue workers in boats tried to guide them to safety as they swam for their lives – but tragically, two were overcome by the currents and drowned.

Thankfully, the surviving elephants and hundreds of other animals are back in their camps.

However, they urgently need food and medical care.

We’re working with Chiang Mai University to provide the critical medication and food these vulnerable animals will need to recover. As well as supporting the clean-up operation across the three affected areas - providing local communities with humanitarian aid as they try to rebuild their lives.

These traumatised elephants need immediate support. We can’t do it without you - and every day counts. Already floods are rapidly spreading from the North to the South of Thailand – putting hundreds more animals at risk.

With your support, we can be ready to save them.
