We’re saving vulnerable animals after devastating disaster
News
We are helping around 20,000 animals (mainly cows, buffaloes and goats) that have been been left stranded and starving in the worst flooding to affect Kerala since 1924, by providing them with food and mineral supplements.

Many animals are taking shelter along the river embankments where most of the grazing lands are underwater and there is insufficient food. More than 46,016 animals and 2,500,000 poultry have already died in the floods.
We have been working alongside the local government, Department of Animal Husbandry, Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) and local volunteers. We are also working with the local government to adopt a disaster management plan that will benefit almost one million livestock animals in the future.
